Evolution

The theory of evolution tells us that all species which are alive today – and many more that are now extinct – evolved (changed) from simpler life forms, which first developed more than 3 billion years ago. Evolution occurs due to new forms of genes arising from changes in existing genes, by mutation. Extinction is the permanent loss of a species from Earth and may be caused by changes to the environment, new predators, new competitors and possibly new diseases.

 There are two options available for this homework. Only attempt one of them.

Homework Option 2: ICT opportunity: GCSE Bitesize

• Work your way through the ‘Revision Bite on ‘Evolution’, making revision notes and answer the GCSE Bitesize test questions.

• When you have finished, both you and your parents must sign your homework diary to say that you have completed every question to the best of your ability.

Assessment details:

Handing in details:
