Origins of the Universe!

What to do next:

Using your research, produce a poster/Powerpoint for KS4 students on the current thinking about the origins of the Universe.

Do it in 3 parts as indicated below

1.     Click on Telescopes from the Ground Up

• Select ‘Era of Space telescopes’.
• Select and research 1989 COBE and find out about background radiation and what it tells us about the Universe.

2.  Click on http://www.superstringtheory.com/cosmo/index.html and choose ONE of the questions there to research and turn into a PowerPoint presentation – be prepared to talk the class through your findings!!

3.  Research Doppler Shift and how it relates to Red Shift and Blue Shift using http://www.astro.ucla.edu/~wright/doppler.htm and the information sheet here.
