What Use Is Radioactivity To Me?
Research the different uses of radioactivity by:-
1. clicking on the 'Uses of Radioactivity' button. Read through the uses, paying attention to the diagrams. Do the Quick quiz.
2. clicking on http://local.ans.org/mi/Teacher_CD/Beneficial%20Uses/Unexpected%20Uses.ppt to find 'Unexpected Uses of Radioactivity'. Work through the presentation.
Tasks:- Make a WORD document of:
A. List all the ways radioactivity is used on these two sites. You could do this as a rap or a poem or a song.
B. Make an A3 or A4 poster or write a newspaper article to illustrate and explain three ways radioactivity is used in daily life. ONE of these ways must be either in a Fire Alarm or in controlling the thickness of film.
